A "Lie" Conversation Piece organized by Sonja Cvitkovic and Megan Francis Sullivan
At Friends with Books 2019, Hamburger Bahnhof, Museum für Gegenwart Berlin.
Related to the same-named performance in January 2019 at the Kunsthalle Wien, the publication "Unangenehme Gefühle 2: Lies" will be presented at Friends with Books within the context of a 'conversation piece'.
Both performances and publication address the determinability of truth and lies, examining the influence of individual experience. Our brain makes no difference between lived and constructed experience and often our feelings regulate the conveyance of information. Today, since ‚falsity’ has been updated within a new reality of alternative facts, the challenge is precisely to make the multidimensionality of truth perceptible.
Participants: Sonja Cvitkovic, Catalon, Megan Francis Sullivan, Verena Dengler, Marine Drouan und Anke Dyes.
Contributions by (in order of appearance): Kathrin Busch, Tina Braegger, Annette Kelm, Sonja Cvitkovic, Anke Dyes, Megan Francis Sullivan, Verena Dengler, Marine Drouan, Enver Hedzijaj, Yasmina Haddad, BLESS, Robert Müller, Aura Rosenberg, Tanja Widmann und Kritina Nagel. A coproduction of Black Palm, Bierke Verlag and S*I*G Verlag Berlin.

"Unangenehme Gefühle 2 - Lies" - Vienna
A Conversation Piece organized by Sonja Cvitkovic and Megan Francis Sullivan, Installation by Black Palm - Sonja Cvitkovic, 2019 Kunsthalle Wien.
The conversation piece "Lies" took place in January 2019 within Annette Kelm's exhibition "Tomato Target" at Kunsthalle Wien, a continuation of the two-day symposium "Unpleasant Feelings 1" held in Berlin in 2016.
The symposium deals with the determinability of truth and lies and examines the influence of individual experience. Our brain makes no difference between experienced and constructed experiences and our feelings often regulate the transmission of information. Today, as the wrong has been updated in a new reality of alternative facts, the challenge is to make the multidimensionality of truth comprehensible.
Participants: Sonja Cvitkovic, Catalon, Megan Francis Sullivan, Verena Dengler, Marine Drouan und Anke Dyes.
